RDF helps with the substitution of primary energy resources, e.g. coal or oil with an immense ecological contribution. Different production processes require different quality requirements of RDF. Medium calorific fuels are subject to different quality demands than the high calorific fuels used in the cement industry. An essential parameter is the content of chlorine. Other critical criteria are the particle sizes, the proportion of heavy metals or the moisture content of RDF.
